Napa Valley Pride Events From The Napa LGBTQ Connection

LGBTQ Connection is thrilled to announce our 2017 Pride month events for Napa County! In partnership with our youth leaders, and possible due to donations from our community, LGBTQ Connection is officially sponsoring several events to celebrate June 2017–LGBTQ Pride month!

  • Tues, June 6, 10:15a-12p: LGBT Seniors Pride Pancake Breakfast

  • Tues, June 6, 7-9p: Alphabet Soup Community Forum (in partnership w/ NV CanDo, PFLAG Napa, Napa County Library)

  • Tues, June 6, 6p: Calistoga City Council Pride Resolution & Rainbow/Trans Flag Raising Vote (in partnership w/ PFLAG UpValley)

  • Sat, June 10: “Enchanted Forest” LGBTQ Pride Youth Dance-ages 13-20 (in partnership w/ Napa County Library)

  • Thurs, June 15, 4-6:30p: Trans Community Fair-gathering for trans community, friends and family by trans youth leaders

Additionally, there are a number of other community events that we have heard of–hosted by other organizations, groups and people. There is no central Napa Valley LGBTQ Pride committee, so we are sharing things here as we learn about them, and the hosting organization or individual will have full information (we’ll link where we can):

San Francisco Pride – June 24 and 25, 2017

The annual San Francisco pride celebration is one of the largest in the world. The festivities include a two day festival at San Francisco Civic Center and a huge parade on Sunday morning. In addition to the official celebration, there are pride related events happening all month long.

One of the highlights of the annual San Francisco pride celebration is the Frameline Film Festival. Each year this festival features some of the best LGBT films you will see on the big screen. This year’s film festival runs June 15 through June 25, 2017. Click Here To Learn More

The best way to get to San Francisco Pride is by public transportation. BART operates extra long trains throughout the weekend and Golden Gate Ferry offers special ferry service to get you to the parade right on time.
