scruff-iphone-app-gay-bearsThis month we focused on various aspects of social responsibility and social justice.  Our first guest was Johnny Skandros, one of the two founders of the popular gay dating app SCRUFF, who shared with us their new “Benevolads” program.  SCRUFF is donating 1 million dollars a year in free advertising on their app to local LGBT non-profit organizations.  The goal of this program is to help users get more connected with grass-roots local LGBT organizations in areas where they live.

Jennifer Gibson and Brian McKinnon from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management joined us to talk about socially responsible investing.  Now that the stock market has rebounded from the recession, many people are jumping back into this form of investing.  Jennifer and Brian share with us ideas for how to be sure your investments reflect your values around supporting LGBT supportive companies.
